"K-9 Odin"

Odin is a 12 month old German Shepherd who came to the United States in August 2003 from Russia.  Odin is used by the Clinton County Sheriff's Office and area agencies for Drug Detection, Tracking, Building Search and Apprehension. Deputy Jeff Ernst has been employed with the Clinton County Sheriff's Office since July 1991 and has been a K-9 handler since 1994.  In the fall of 2003 Deputy Jeff Ernst and new K-9 Odin attended a six week K-9 training at the Top Dog Police Academy in Evansville, Indiana.   Odin was purchased with a $15,000 Gaming Grant from WAL-MART and the Mississippi Belle II.  The grant included the purchase of Odin, training, in-car cage, and other items necessary for a K-9.   

 

Odin is used by the Clinton County Sheriff's Office and area agencies for Drug Detection, Tracking, Building Search and Apprehension.

Deputy Bud retired from the Clinton County Sheriff's Office in early 2003 due to health problems.  He served the Clinton County Sheriff's Office for nine years and during his career found over $100,000.00 worth of street drugs.  Deputy Bud is a black Labrador Retriever.
