The Wapsi Center is a cooperative effort between Clinton and Scott County Conservation Boards, the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, and the Quad City Conservation Alliance.

Kids harvest prairie seed from the Wapsi Center to help plant more prairies elsewhere.

Lance-leaved coreopsis is one of the many prairie plants found at the WRC. The eight acre prairie was plants by Clinton County Pheasants Forever as part of the Prairie For Schools Program.

The Monsignor Menke Astrononmical Observatory, owned by St. Ambrose University, hosts many public star gazing events each year. Menke Observatory, St. Ambrose University

The Wapsi center preserves 1.2 miles of the Wapsipinicon River valley.

There are five miles of trails that wind through the woods and prairie along the Wapsipinicon River.

The eagle is one of the thirteen threatened or endangered species, including the bobcat, east-central newt, and the royal fern, that inhabit the area.

 

The Wapsi Center has a wide variety of Outdoor activities and learning experiences for kids and adults.

The Eagle View Eco Center features interpretive displays educating about our natural resources. The Eagle View Eco Center serves as the Interpretive Nature Center for the preserve.
