The Clinton CCB is very proud of it's new Eco-cruise pontoon boat. Based
out of Rock Creek Marina & Campground, the boat will serve tourists, outdoor
groups, and schools by providing naturalist-led Eco-cruises on the Mississippi
River. Call or Email the CCCB for
information regarding bookings.
We offer public Sunset Cruises every Thursday
evening, May through Mid October out of Rock Creek Marina, reservations are highly recommended.
Call 563-259-1876 during the camping season, call 563-847-7202 the rest of the
year and for private bookings. Departure times
vary from 7:00 PM in Summer to 5:00 PM in October due to earlier sunsets. Check the Calendar of Events or Prairie
Whispers for upcoming cruises.

Heron Eco-cruises
Used for Mississippi Eco-cruises with Schools, Sr. Citizens
Groups, Civic Organizations, Tour Groups, Wildlife Groups and Youth Groups.
No Smoking
All minors must wear a PFD (life preserver)
Educational Trips only
Public cruises require at least 10 people
with reservations, or the cruise will be cancelled
Operated only by CCCB personnel with Coast Guard
and Iowa DNR River Pilot Training.
Fees:
- Adults = $6
- Children = $4
- Fees based on 1 ½ hour standard cruise, special cruise
fees may vary.
- Group flat rate for entire boat = $125 first 1.5 hours,
then $30 per half hour thereafter.
- Clinton County Schools = free
- Youth Groups = ½ price
- Youth Groups = out of county schools, scouts, church
youth, etc.
- Hourly rate will be figured on boat transport time as
well as cruise time if the cruise is not out of Rock Creek.
- Topics run the gamut of local river issues.
- Standard cruise highlights include: RC Backwater Birding,
Rock Creek Private Cabin Area, Sand Pit, Quad Cities Nuclear Power Plant,
Wapsipinicon mouth, Channel Markers and Wingdams.
- Special Trips may include Fall Color Cruise, AM Birding Cruise, Mussel Beach Cruise,
Fisheries Management Cruise, Bald Eagle Cruise (Nov.) & Waterfowl
Migration Cruise are other ideas. Locking through Lock & Dam #13 is also
a unique experience.

to view birds and reflect on the river.
