| General Assistance
is a short-term assistance program for persons who meet the Code Of
Iowa's definition of "poor" or "needy".
General Assistance is available
through Clinton County Community Support Department to families and
individuals who meet the Code of Iowa's guidelines (section 252.1) of
the poor and needy. This applies to such persons who are not
supported by their own means, relatives, or other public or private
resources in accordance with the General Assistance policy.
