| Medical Requirements:
Each applicant must have a current physical
examination completed on the application form by a local or Department of
Veterans Affairs Medical Center physician, including laboratory and
x-ray finding.

In the event of an acute illness, the Resident of the
Iowa Veterans Home has the following hospitals available to meet his/her
medical needs:

- Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Iowa
City, Iowa.
- Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center,
Knoxville, Iowa.
- University Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa.
- Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center,
Marshalltown, Iowa.
- State of Iowa Mental Health Institutes.
