The Retail Food Warehouse Licensing and Enforcement Program issue licenses for:

1. grocery stores
2. convenience stores
3. food warehouses

The inspectors also:

1. conduct routine, unannounced inspections
2. conduct inspections when a new establishment is opened
3. conduct inspections when establishments change owners
4. conduct inspections when there are complaints
5. approve plans for remodeling and new facilities
6. provide information on local training for food service personnel
